Senator Carmichael moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

Eng. Com. Sub. for Senate Bill 267 -- A BILL to amend and reenact §6-6-1 and §6-6-7 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to modifying the procedure for removal of certain county, school district and municipal officers; modifying definitions; and providing political subdivisions be responsible for costs associated with removal proceedings when the outcome is in favor of a challenged officer acting in good faith.
